Note, dated 21 August 1878 from Trieste, indicating the provenance of a bookcase, in Thayer's possession, which originally belonged to Beethoven, then to Piringer, Director of the Vienna Concertes Spirituelles, and then to Glöggl, music publisher. The bookcase is now the property of the Music Library, University of Pennsylvania.
